What it is

What Window Tint does for your vehicle.

Window tint does far more than change how a car looks. The right film is a thermal and UV barrier that keeps the cabin cooler, protects your interior from sun damage, cuts glare, and adds a layer of privacy and security.

We install ceramic IR-blocking film in two tiers. Ceramic tint rejects a high share of infrared heat and up to 99% of UV rays, and it does it without the metal content that makes cheaper films interfere with GPS, cellular and radio signals. It also resists the bubbling and purple fade that ruin low-grade dyed film.

In the DFW climate, that thermal performance is the point. A ceramic film noticeably reduces how hard your cabin heats up in summer, while shielding your dashboard, seats and trim from the UV that cracks and discolors interiors over time. The only question is how much heat you want gone.

Ceramic Tint Tiers

Two ceramic tiers, one honest choice: how much heat goes away

Both tiers are true ceramic film — non-metallic, signal-safe, fade-resistant. The difference is infrared heat rejection. We help you read the trade-off against your vehicle, your commute and your budget, and we install to Texas legal limits on the front glass every time.

Why it matters

What Tint delivers.

  • Real heat rejection

Ceramic film blocks a high share of infrared heat, so the cabin builds up far less warmth in the sun.

  • Up to 99% UV blocked

Protects your skin on long drives and shields the interior from fading and cracking.

  • No signal interference

Non-metallic ceramic film does not disrupt GPS, cellular, radio or keyless systems.

  • Glare reduction

Cuts harsh sun and headlight glare for a more comfortable, less fatiguing drive.

  • Interior protection

Slows the UV damage that fades and cracks dashboards, seats and trim over the years.

  • Lasting clarity

Quality ceramic film resists the bubbling and purple shift that plague low-grade dyed film.

How it works

Four steps. One threshold.

  1. Vehicle inspection

We read your paint, document its condition, and walk you through exactly what the work will include — nothing padded, nothing assumed.

  2. Surface preparation

Decontamination, clay treatment and a thorough wash bring the surface genuinely clean before a single product goes near it.

  3. Window Tint install

Your window tint goes on with professional-grade products in a controlled studio bay, finished by hand to the threshold every Protektd vehicle is held to.

  4. Final inspection

Every panel is checked against one standard. If anything falls short of it, the vehicle goes back on the bench before it goes back to you.

The 100% standard

Tint shows every flaw. A speck of dust under the film, a gap at the edge, a blade mark on the glass — all of it is visible forever. We prep glass meticulously, cut with precision, and inspect each window before the car leaves. Texas law sets the limits for front windows, and we install to compliant, correct specifications, every time.

Common questions

Window Tint, answered.

What's the legal tint limit in Texas?

In Texas, front side windows must allow more than 25% light transmission (VLT). Rear side and back windows can be any darkness. Our installers know Texas law and will recommend compliant options.

Does ceramic window tint block heat better than dyed film?

Significantly. Ceramic IR-blocking tint rejects up to 99% of UV rays and substantially more heat than dyed or metalite films, without interfering with GPS, cell, or radio signals.

How long does window tint last?

Quality ceramic tint resists bubbling, fading, and the purple shift that plagues lower-grade dyed films. We confirm the specific film warranty with you during your quote.
